Understanding Time Zone Display in Interview Scheduling

How Rakuna displays and synchronizes time zones across the interview creation, availability, and confirmation pages.

Rakuna displays interview times in each participant’s local time zone, so recruiters, interviewers, and candidates always see the correct local time - no manual conversion needed.

Where time zone is shown

  1. During Interview Creation:

  • 1-on-1 Interviews: Displays the time zone of the Interview Coordinator on the creation screen by default. A time zone dropdown menu is available as a reference tool to help coordinators align schedules across different regions.

  • Panel Interviews: The time zone appears directly on the setup interface while organizing multiple interviewers.

2. After Interview Creation

  • Rakuna Web: Displays on the Time Slot Review and scheduling pages based on the user's local device/browser settings.

  • Email Invitations (Mailer): Candidates and interviewers receive emails showing the scheduled time along with the time zone indicator (e.g., +07).

How Time Zone Detection Works

Rakuna automatically determines and displays time zones based on the participant’s local device or browser settings. The system reads these system-level parameters at the time of access to automatically convert and synchronize event schedules without manual input.
